manoogian classroom

Both ENG 1020 classes met in a classroom located in the Alex Manoogian Hall building on Wayne State campus. (see left image)

Section 023 at 11:30am, had a mix of female and male students, who met on the bottom floor of the building in a room with no windows. It was quite small with 25 desks closely arranged in rows facing the front of the room. The seating units were stationary chairs with small desks attached. The front and side walls of the room had chalk blackboards. The room was also equipped with overhead audio, a rolling projection, and IT cart so that instructors could present their plans on the board for students.

Section 027, with all-female pre-nursing students, met in the early afternoon in a room on the second floor of the Alex Manoogian Hall building. The classroom had two narrow ceiling to floor windows on either side of the front of the room. It was slightly larger than the first-floor room and provided much more space for the 23 enrolled students to move about the room with plenty of space. The seating units were rolling chairs with amply sized desks attached. The room was equipped with overhead audio and an IT cart. Instructors could use the IT cart to enable the overhead projector to show plans on the front board for students. The four walls were all equipped with marker whiteboards. There were also two additional digital screens on both sides of the room.
